Our rockrose shrub has developed a sticky substance and leaves are turning yellow. Any advice? Thanks |
Check your plant closely for signs of aphids, scales or mealybugs. These are the most commonly found insects which feed by sucking juices from plant tissues. They exude a sticky substance called honeydew and their feeding can cause yellowing of leaves. If you find colonies of insects, the sticky substance is their excretement. Control the insects and you'll eliminate the source of stickiness. (Controls vary, depending upon insect so I can't make a recommendation at this point.) Good luck with your rockrose. |
