The Q&A Archives: Corn

Question: How much water and is there a time not to water corn?

Answer: Corn requires about 1" of water per week, especially when stalks begin to tassel. Water by flooding the soil surface and allowing it to soak in. You can slow evaporation by mulching over the soil surface between the stalks. Water regularly, right up until harvest time.
