| Broccoli usually looks a bit blue and has a sort of cabbagey texture to the foliage. You may be able to determine a pattern if you planted the seeds at regular intervals. You might try planting some seeds in a pot so that you will have seedlings to examine and compare to the plants coming up in the garden. Unfortunately I do not have a photo to send you. Next time, you may want to start broccoli indoors very early and set the transplants in the garden a few weeks before the last expected spring frost. This plant does not grow at all well in hot weather, so it is usually planted as early in the season as possible to give it a chance to form heads early. It can also be grown as a fall crop when temperatures are a bit lower. |
