Answer: Broccoli usually looks a bit blue and has a sort of cabbagey texture to the foliage. You may be able to determine a pattern if you planted the seeds at regular intervals. Next time, you may want to start broccoli indoors very early and set the transplants in the garden a few weeks before the last expected spring frost.
