Trumpet vine is very low maintenance although it can be somewhat invasive. It blooms on new growth of the current season, so any pruning to control size, shape or direct the vine should be done in late winter or very early spring. it can be pruned back as hard as desired. You may also want to prune away the seed pods in the fall to keep the seeds from germinating in the yard. In general, it does best in average to good soil and full sun all day long. |
