| We bought our house last April and there is an Azalia bush in the fron of our house. Last year it was beautiful with pink flowers that lasted a couple of weeks. My husband trimmed it in the fall and this year when it bloomed, we didn't have many flowers and they all fell off the next day. Did he trim it too late in the fall? Could you please tell me when the best time to trim an Azalia is? |
| If trimming is necessary, azaleas should be trimmed right after they bloom. They bloom on growth made the year before so a fall trimming would remove flower buds for the next spring. Azalea blooms may not last long if the soil is dry and/or temperatures are high, especially if the plant is in full sun. |
