Srawflower (Helichrysum bracteatum)is usually grown in the garden in a sunny location with average to good garden soil. Once it blooms, the flowers should be harvested to encourage it to bloom again. The flowers are sometimes cut just as they open, dried and saved as "everlastings"; they also last a long time in the garden. If the plant is still alive I would suggest trimming off the blooms and planting it in the garden, keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy and hope it will rebloom for you. If however the entire plant is dried up then it may be dead.
