| Inkberry hollies (Ilex glabra) produce dark little berries that are not very noticeable so they are not really considered a decorative feature. Some varieties are female such as "Compacta" (grows to six feet) and will fruit, but you might want to take a look at some plants in fruit in the fall and see if you think it is important after all. Also, these plants tend to grow quite large and will probably require pruning in a small space; in all likelihood this would remove the fruiting wood each year so your berry production would be limited if not eliminated.
