Is there such thing as a red Crepe Myrtle? I have been to several nurseries and when they show me red it's pink. I am very interested in a vibrant red, not fuscia, not pink, just red. Does it even exist. If so, could you please give me the exact name of the tree so I can have it ordered. Your help would be greatly appreciated. |
Lagerstroemia indica 'Centennial Spirit' is a Japanese Crape Myrtle with dark red flowers and leaves that turn orange-red in the autumn. The tree grows to about 20'. While not the "vibrant" red you're looking for, it's the only red-flowering Crape Myrtle available. |
