I recently read about a groundcover that comes up in fall, providing a beautiful winter accent. All I can remember is that the name included the word "Italian." Thank you!

My guess is that you read about Italian Arum (Arum italicum). The plant is dormant in the summer time, and the leaves emerge in the fall. They are followed by white-flowered stalks and striking red berries. They do best in a shady woodland environment.
