We bought a shrub called Dark Knight with small blue flowers that the bees and butterflies love. Need to know how to care for it.

Your plant is Caryopteris x clandonensis 'Dark Knight'. It's an attractive compact, mounding shrub with fragrant blooms of deep purple-blue, backed by silvery gray foliage. A wonderful border for perennial beds, or use along walks and entryways. The plant is deciduous and grows best in full sun. It's a moderate grower to 2 feet tall and wide. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring. For a formal appearance, shear annually after flowering.
