IF WE PLANT JASMINE IN THE MTN ZONE OF VIRGINA, DO YOU THINK IT WILL SURVIVE? WE RECEIVED THIS PLANT FROM A RECENT FUNERAL, AND THE FLORIST HAS BEEN UNABLE TO TELL US WHAT TYPE OF JASMINE THIS IS. IF IT IS ZONE 6 HARDY, SHOULD WE PLANT IN THE FALL OR SPRING? FULL SUN OR PART SUN?

Based on my experience, I would expect that a fragrant white flowered jasmine carried by a florist would be a tropical plant. This would not survive a cold winter. Instead, it could be grown in a sunny window as a houseplant. These make lovely summer patio plants as well.
