When brought indoors for the winter, what kind of lighting does a Rosenka Bougainvillea need? |
Bougainvillea is difficult to grow under ordinary household conditions. While it will remain ailve, your plant will probably not flower during the winter months indoors. Choose the sunniest spot available and place your plant there. A bright but unheated room would be perfect. Bougainvillea thrives with moist soil during the spring and summer months, but requires dry soil during the winter. Don't expect much growth from your plant while it's indoors. Resume regular watering in the spring and place your plant outdoors again when nighttime temperatures remain above 50F. Trim away the leggy stems and new growth will appear. It should flower again during the spring and summer months. |
