would you tell me when and how is the best way to prune a rose glow japanese barberry bush? thank you

The natural shape of the plant is fairly symmetrical so routine pruning is not really necessary, this is one of the reasons they are considered so low maintenance. However, these are best pruned in early spring and possibly again in mid summer if needed for tidiness or to control the size.
