Would it be better to place cuphea rosea directly in the ground in a spot that has about 3-4 hours of direct sun in the winter, a little more in the summer - or plant it in a container?? Thank you.

Either one is acceptable, but if you choose a container make sure that it gets protection from hot afternoon sun in summer, when plant roots can really heat up in a pot. Good luck!
