I'm trying to find a low ground cover for a side yard strip that's in full sun. I'm thinking of vinca, but I'm not sure how it will do in full sun. |
Vinca leaves can turn a pale yellow if they receive full sunshine. Another suggestion is Ajuga (carpet bugle). It thrives in full sunshine and produces spectacular spikes of deep blue flowers in late spring. It grows dense enough to crowd out weeds and you can easily groom it by running a lawn mower over the area when the flower spikes fade. |
