The Q&A Archives: Trimming Lantana?

Question: What's the best way to trim Lantana plants?

Answer: Lantana is a tough plant, so as long as it's healthy you don't have to worry too much. Cutting back promotes tender new growth, and lantana is susceptible to frost damage, so I prefer to wait until late winter/early spring, just before new growth starts and then cut back the rangy growth. Some people cut them back quite severely.
