Which type of banana tree would I select for eating?

You're garden is located in zone 9A, which is a warm spot. Just so you know, bananas require warm temperatures for 14 and 23 months order to grow and produce fruit. At 55F, they stop growing until weather warms again. Many gardeners grow them in sheltered places or in greenhouses.
