I just purchased one of your Dwarf Valencia tree and wanted to know how long I could keep it in its pot? I was planning to trans-plant it in the spring.

Thank you,
Michael

Your new tree will be quite happy in its container until springtime. Spring and autumn are the best times to transplant new trees and shrubs because of the abundance of natural rainfall. But, in your mild winter gardening region, you can transplant now, as well. Just be sure to keep your tree watered regularly after transplanting to help it adjust to its new home. Try to keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy wet and your new tree should adjust to transplanting without problem.
