I purchased a Monrovia male kiwi which is not identified as a particular type, but which I presume is a Tomuri. Is it the ideal male for the Hayward female I also bought? Or is there a better male/female combination for northern California Sunset zone 16?

Actinidia chinensis 'Tomuri' is the male required to pollinate the female Actinidia chinensis 'Hayward'. Your male will pollinate as many as 7 female plants - if you have room to grow them! Kiwis are very vigorous growers so be sure to erect a sturdy support system for your plants while they're still young.
