I live in Seattle. I would like to start a rose from a cutting off my favorite rose. I have some rooting hormone powder that I intend to apply after I make the cutting. Because it is so cool here, is there anything special I should do? Would I need to start it in a pot inside the house, or perhaps in a greenhouse? Any other tips? Sincerely, Tom. |
with a rock and top with a generous layer of mulch. Water it occasionally during the growing season. Eventually, the branch will develop enough roots from the wounded area to support itself enough to separated from the parent plant.
