A new varity of okra was announced recently which gives the gardener a longer time to pick the pods before they become too tough. Do you know what the varity is? The variety I'm using now only allows about 2 days to pick the pods. If I go on vacation for 5 days, I have a garden of useless pods.

Two varieties that have received "All-America Selection" status are 'Cajun Delight Hybrid' and 'Burgundy'. Both are touted for their outstanding yields and tender pods. They are available from Park Seed; ph# 864/223-7333, address 1 Parkton Ave., Greenwood, SC 29647.
