Good Day! In my back yard I have an arbor and just to the back side of one corner I have planted a wisteria. What I want to have on the opposite side is something that stays green all year where as the wisteria goes dormant. Can you PLEASE give me some suggestions as to what will make US happy.
Thanks!
Anita

You didn't specify whether you wanted a vine or a shrub, so here are suggestions for both: Lonicera (evergreen honeysuckle)will climb your arbor, provide summer blossoms, and remain green all year around. Jasminum angulare (South African Jasmine) is an evergreen vining shrub with fragrant white blooms. Shrub suggestions include glossy abelia (Abelia grandiflora), Escallonia 'Fradesii', Grewia occidentalis (lavender starflower) and Hibiscus rosa-sinensis (Chinese Hibiscus. Hope one of the above suggestions is just the plant you're looking for!
