I have some very large pots, approx 25-30gallon and I was wondering if I would be able to plant and maintain a Queen palm in them?

Queen Palm (Syagrus) grows to 50' tall and 20'to 25' wide at maturity, so it can only live in a container for a few years before becoming overly stressed. Instead of a Queen Palm, try planting Phoenix roebelenii (pygmy date palm), which reaches 6' and is excellent in containers, Kentia palm (Howea belmoreana), 7' tall with feathery fronds, or Mediterranean fan palm (Chamaerop humilis), slow growing to 10'-12' tall.
