| Does the Pyracantha 'Red Elf' have thorns? I am hoping it does as I need something to put in an area with a lower shrub but can keep animals and people from. Your immediate response is greatly appreciated. I have already spoken with Walter Anderson Nursery in Poway, and Richard seemed unsure. Thank you. Pat |
| There are needlelike thorns on all Pyracantha. 'Red Elf' is a low growing, compact plant (about 2' tall and wide) and produces bright red berries in late summer, early fall. |
