I have a squirrel eating or at least chewing my young leatherleaf viburnum. Any recommendations on how to keep the squirrels from eating/chewing this shrub?

You might be able to deter the squirrel by using a hot pepper wax spray on the plant, or using an animal repellent labeled for squirrels. These can usually be found at the garden center.

If the plant is small, you might also be able to make a cage to fence the squirrel out.

In my experience this type of squirrel damage is seasonal, and as far as I can tell, somewhat inexplicable, so it should stop sooner or later. The plant should grow back.
