I need a privacy hedge in front of my house. My interior designer suggested ficus nitida, but your website only lists this as a tree.

Is this a good choice? If not, could you suggest something hardy, dense, and easy to care for?

I would like to order Monrovia plants from my local nursery, but want to confirm what's best.

Please reply. Thanks.

Ficus retusa 'Nitida', the Indian Laurel Fig, will grow 20-25' tall with equal width. It has an interesting weeping habit and can be sheared into formal landscape forms, including a dense privacy screen. It can also be trained into a tree. Be sure to specify the shrub form rather than the patio tree form when you order your Ficus 'Nitida'.
