The Q&A Archives: Bugs On Rose Of Sharon

Question: Have lots of little round, almost black bugs on under side of leaves, what do I spray with and how often?

Answer: At this time of year, early spring, you might be seeing little aphids, black in color, on the new growth. These are soft bodied, sucking insects. They can be washed off with a strong spray of water from the garden hose or they can be sprayed with insecticidal soap. Read and follow the label instructions if you opt for the soap.
