I would like to plant large beds of new guinea impatiens and would like to grow them from seed. Can I buy the seeds from Burpee and do you have any growing tips?

Burpee has a wide variety of impatiens seeds available including some beautiful varieties of New Guineas. New Guineas will thrive in partial shade (two to six hours of direct sun per day) to full shade (little or no direct sun). They require a good healthy soil that is not allowed to dry out completely. To grow from seed it is best to start indoors 6-10 weeks before last frost date. You can reach Burpee by calling 1-800-888-1447 or visit the website at http://garden.burpee.com.
