Solanum rantonnei is a sprawling shrub and can be easily pruned by removing some of the overgrown stems (back to the center of the plant). Other stems can just be shortened. When you prune, prune the stems at varying lengths so the shrub keeps its natural shape. It's a lovely plant and recovers well after spring pruning. Enjoy!
