Where I live, we have colder weather and I just bought a purple queen Bougainvillea. Our cold/heat Zone is a 4 to 5. Im afraid that this is to cold for the vine? Also can I put this into a large pot and set it outside. And maybe I could bring the plant in the house by a full sun window, for the winter.

Bougainvillea is a tropical plant and it is frost tender. I live in zone 9 (Phoenix) and bougainvillea will suffer freeze damage here! However, you can grow them in a pot and bring them inside for the winter. Be careful to monitor weather forecasts for early frosts in the fall or late frosts in the spring! On the positive side, they do recover from frost damage as long as the root system is still viable.
