Early spring is a good time to trim all kinds of euonymus, the evergreens such as the E. fortunei types can also be trimmed again in early to mid summer if needed to control size or encourage denser growth. Do not prune in late summer or fall however as this will encourage late season growth that may not have time to harden before winter.
