I am planning to plant 4 orange trees in a southwest exposure in the San Gabriel Valley. Could you give me the names of several varieties that bear sweet fruits, not excluding blood oranges.

Thank you.

A list of sweet oranges isn't difficult to put together - 'Washington', 'Robertson' and 'Valencia' are the favorites, 'Trovita' is a thin-skinned navel, and 'Marrs'is exceptionally sweet. Favorite blood orange varieties include 'Moro', 'Tarocco' and 'Sanguinelli'. Good luck with your new citrus trees!
