The Q&A Archives: Rock Daphne Pruning

Question: Should rock daphnes be cut back after flowering?

Answer: Daphne generally doesn't need to be regularly pruned, but it will respond well to even heavy pruning if you cut back to lateral branches, or to just above obvious growth buds. Prune after flowers fade and your daphne will have all summer to develop new flower buds for next year's flower display.
