| Many of the Japanese maples in the "Atropurpureum" group will do this, with the foliage turning green as it matures or when temperatures rise for the summer and then usually turning red again for their fall color. If you want a tree that stays red all season then you would need to look for a cultivare that is known to do that better, such as "Bloodgood". |
