Hi My name is Bryan and I just want to know about my roses in winter....I live in Chesapeake region and just want to know if the roses in my town Easton Maryland need a protection from winter?...Can I plant Cannas or Elephants ear without digging them up this fall? I planted them about 8 inches deep so the bulbs won't freeze up in winter is that a good solution? I looked up the USDA Zone map and we're in zone 7A..Do you have a harsh winter? Zone 7 extend much of the deep south like Oklahoma,Arkansas, Alabama, and Georgia...does that mean we have the same climate? Are they much Colder down their than up here? do we have the same chilling days in winter?...thats all.
