Colorado Blue Spruce "no Pines" - Knowledgebase Question

I planted three colorado blue spruces approximately 1 year ago. They are growing up/in hight but they have not produced any pines, no greenery. What can I do.

The new growth on these plants begins as what is called a candle, which looks plain and bare. It elongates and then expands so you can see needles and eventually looks "normal". So I think what you are seeing is the normal beginning of this year's new growth. In a few weeks it should look more like what you are expecting to see.
