I would like to plant the paths in my vegetable garden... something that will make tending my garden easy on my knees and will be unsual and pretty. I thought of grass, but would rather not mow it. Clover occured to me, but I don't want to deal with the bees it would attract. Do you have any ideas? Madeline Ortega |
What a great idea! You might consider Soleirolia (Baby's Tears), wooly thyme, Virginia creeper, Corsican mint or Sagina (Scotch Moss) for your sunny garden paths. All will take some foot traffic without damage. The flowers they produce are small and short-lived, so bees shouldn't present too much of a problem for you and since bees will pollinate your veggies, you wouldn't want to chase them all away! |
