| Looking to replace proposed Olea europaea tree with a comparable substitute in character on a project. Have found that a lot of olive trees in Irvine, CA are not looking so well once established. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks, Blair |
| Olive trees have willow-like foliage, some have multiple trunks, and all cast dappled shade. Trees with similar characteristics include Ash, Eucalyptus, Cladrastis (Chinese yellow wood), Salix and Eleagnus angustifolia (Oleaster). |
