I have a Harry Lauder's Walking Stick Tree and some of the leaves have started to dry out on the edges. This is not happening on the entire tree but only on one side. The tree has been getting water regularly. |
Since it is only happening on one side, I would suspect something has "happened" such as frost exposure (on the side away from a building for example), accidental herbicide contact (spray drift or from a cyclone spreader for example) or root damage (nearby digging for example) or possibly a water problem (for example a problem with the emitters if you are using an irrigation system) or possibly root competition from a neighboring tree or last but not least, overfertilizing. This type of problem can be difficult to figure out but with a little detective work the question can usually be solved. I hope this helps you trouble-shoot the situation. |
