please define the differences between annuals/perennials?
how often are they planted,what keeps growing back yrly?

Annuals are planted each year, perennials typically live for three years or longer. I use the mnemonic device of p is for permanent -- p is for perennial. Biennials grow for a season, live over a winter, bloom the second year and then die. I hope this helps.
