We just purchased 2 topiary formed Monterey Bay Brush Cherry (double ball shapes). We were hoping that the size of each ball would grow a little larger...will this happen or will these maintain their present size? Also, how often should we cut new growth to keep the round shapes but allow them to grow larger. Help!

Your plants will continue to put on new growth and will become as large as you allow them to become. To maintain the shape, plan to do a little pruning each spring, cutting back the tops by a few inches. This will encourage lush, new growth and help the ball shape remain dense. Check often for swollen buds along the trunks of your plants and rub them off when they appear (or you'll have branches there!) Best wishes with your topiaries.
