The Hollywood Juniper or Juniperus chinensis `Torulosa` is rated hardy to USDA zone 5; according to the Monrovia web site it is considered hardy down to between minus 10 to 20 degrees. So the answer to your question may depend on the microclimate where you want to plant it. In order to do well it must have a location with full sun all day long or for at least six hours including the hour of noon, and it must also have well drained soil. Your local nursery personnel should be able to help you determine if it will grow well for you or not.
