Are these marauding neighborhood cats or truly wild cats? I hope the former! There are several commercial preparations that I have found to be effective in discouraging cats (and dogs) from digging and well, ummm, you know, in my flower beds. Two are as follows: Burpee offers "Get Away" animal repellent in a 1 pt. spray bottle. "Get Off My Garden" is available in pellets and a crystal like gel form. It is long lasting, even in adverse weather and 16 oz. covers about 500 sq. feet. Ihave found it widely available at places such as Lowes, Home Depot, KMart, WalMart, hardware stores, and garden centers.
