The Q&A Archives: Pruning The Chaste Tree

Question: i have a 3 yr old chaste tree. It has just finished blooming, should I prune off the spent flowers now?

Answer: Your chaste tree will bloom from summer through fall. If you remove the spent flowers, cut the clusters off just where they meet the stem. New growth will develop where you've pruned. Additional blooms will appear in August and September. Enjoy!
