I would like to know if I should cut my astibles down to the ground in the fall or spring or just leave them until next spring?

In the late fall, after frost has killed the foliage, you may cut it off short at the base. This can also be done in the spring, instead, but it is usually a good idea to do some clean up in the fall because things get so hectic in the spring. Also, if there are any pest or disease problems, a good fall clean up can help prevent them from overwintering and thus reduce their incidence the next season.
