When is a paddypan squash ready to eat and how is it to be prepared?

These squash can be sliced and eaten raw when very small, then can be eated cooked as they grow larger. They can be prepared using any summer squash or zucchini recipe. Steam, saute, bake with a bit of stuffing inside, they are all good. Keep in mind that the more you pick the more the plant will produce, and that midsized squash tend to be most tender and flavorful as opposed to overgrown ones. Enjoy!
