The Q&A Archives: Triming Geraniums

Question: As the flower on a Geranium dies, just how do you dispose of wilted part? at the top or down where flower stem juts out from plant.

Answer: You cut the base of the flower stem where it juts out from the plant, a scant quarter inch above the join and just above a leaf. This way, you avoid leaving bare tips of stem sticking up above the foliage.
