What would you recommend as a companion to zebra grass in a sunny border area? Are there plants with yellow leaves or shrubs with berries that would work?

There are many possible plants to consider depending to some extent on the space you have available and the overall look you wish to achieve but you might like shrubs such as golden barberry, dwarf burning bush, or mugo pine to serve as companions. These will all do well in full sun and average soil and (in my opinon) would look good together with it. Your local nursery might have some additional suggestions and you could look at the actual plants to help in your planning as well.
