I purchased a Monrovia Black Satin Blackberry two years ago. The plant is loaded with huge blackberries. Unfortunately, they are sour. Do you have any suggestions that might make them more edible?

In my experience, the most common reason for sour blackberries is picking them too early. Make sure they are truly ripe before you pick them -- the color should lose some of its sheen. Another possible cause for sourness is lack of water. These plants do best with an occasional deep watering during the growing season if the season is a dry one.
