i am planting a Chamaecyparis pisifera 'boulevard' "topiary boulevard blue false cypress" that needs full sun. I was wondering how many hours of sun is required. the area i would like to plant it in gets about 5 hours of early morning sun is this enough or should i plant it some place else? |
Full sun usually means full sun all day long or for at least six hours with the six hours including the hour of noon. If the five hours of sun this location receives includes noon or close to it, or if it also includes dappled light for the rest of the day, then it is probably enough for a chamaecyparis. |
